BUSINESS CALENDAR <br /> <br />MOTION: McGuigan <br /> <br />SECOND: Lutz <br /> <br />VOTE: <br /> <br />AYE S: <br /> <br />NOES: <br /> <br />Espinoza, Lutz, McGuigan, Mills, Moreno, Pulido, <br />Richardson <br />None <br /> <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Mayor Pulido requested a "thank you" letter be sent to "Weed and Seed Program" Executive <br />Director Gwendolyn Tyre for her assistance in expediting the grant. <br /> <br />CONDITIONAL USE PERMITS/VARIANCES/PARKING WAIVERS <br /> <br />31.A. <br /> <br />CUP 88-011 - ARCHANGEL MICHAEL COPTIC CHURCH - 4405 W. <br />ED1NGER <br /> <br />Phillip Bettencourt requested the following modified conditions for CUP 88-011 approved by the <br />Planning Commission be set for public hearing by the City Council: <br /> <br />Removal of the basketball facilities from the parking lot area. <br />Permanent closure of the gate between the guest residence and the church <br />parking lot. <br />Revision of the approved operating hours. <br />Discontinuation of topping of trees. <br /> <br />Motion: Set malter for public hearing on December 4, 1995. <br /> <br />MOTION: McGuigan <br /> <br />SECOND: Moreno <br /> <br />VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Espinoza, McGuigan, Moreno <br />NOES: Lutz, Mills, Pulido, Richardson <br /> <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />The motion failed. <br /> <br />Councilmember McGuigan suggested the Church continue to work with Planning Commission <br />and the residents to resolve parking, noise, and other negative impacts of Church operations on <br />the neighborhood. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES 318 NOVEMBER 6, 1995 <br /> <br /> <br />
