City of Santa Ana <br />Community Development Block Grant <br />Scope of Work <br />Name of Organization- Women Helping Women <br />Name of Funded Program- Professional Apparel and Business Learning Center <br />Annual Accomplishment Goal <br />I. Total number of unduplicated clients (Santa Ana and Non-Santa Ana Residents) anticipated to be served by <br />the funded program, named above, during the 12-month contract period. <br />1900PERSONS <br />II. Number of only unduplicated Santa Ana residents to be served by the funded program, named above, <br />during the 12-month contract period. <br />130PERSONS <br />Program and Funding Description <br />III. Description of Work - In the space below, describe the program to be funded during the 12-month <br />contract period. <br />Women Helping Women (WHW) provides professional business apparel, image consulting and employment search support to aid <br />low-income women in attaining and sustaining employment. Through the Professional Apparel Center, the core competency of <br />WHW, clients are provided with business attire and accessories at no charge so they can dress suitably for job interviews and <br />employment. The Business Learning Center is an on-site computer lab where clients are offered basic computer and Internet training, <br />employment skill development, resume building, job search and job placement services. Open computer lab time is available for <br />individual practice. <br />IV. Activities funded by this grant -How will CDBG funds be used for the funded program? Narratively <br />describe the budget for the funded program illustrated in Exhibit B and B-1. <br />CDBG funds will help support the cost of rent for our site and for off-site storage space for out of season clothing inventory. Our <br />monthly rent for our facility is $2000/mo plus the cost of a storage unit to house additional clothing is $150/mo.
