<br />RESOLUTION NO. 2006-062 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA TO AMEND RESOLUTION NO. 82-110 TO <br />AMEND THE CITY'S BASIC CLASSIFICATION AND <br />COMPENSATION PLAN TO ADD ONE NEW PART TIME <br />CLASSIFICA nON TITLE. <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The City Council hereby finds, determines, and declares as follows: <br /> <br />A. Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City of Santa Ana requires <br />the City Manager to prepare, install, and maintain a position classification <br />and pay plan subject to civil service rules and regulations and the approval <br />of the City Council. <br /> <br />B. On August 2, 1982, the City Council passed and adopted Resolution No. <br />82-110 revising and re-establishing the Basic Classification and <br />Compensation Plan for Officers and Employees of the City of Santa Ana. <br /> <br />C. It is the City's practice to assign job titles that reflect the duties and <br />responsibilities of the classification and are consistent with other <br />classifications within the City's organizationai structure as well as with <br />comparable job titles in the labor market. <br /> <br />D. The Police Chief proposes to create one (1) new part time classification title. <br /> <br />E. It is now desired to amend Council Resolution No. 82-110, as amended, in <br />order to effect this change. <br /> <br />Section 2: That Section 3.5.1 Classification Titles and Waqe Rates for <br />Unaffiliated Cateqories of Non-Civil Service Part-Time Emplovment of Resolution No. <br />82-110, as amended, be further amended by adding the following part-time title, <br />assigned to the five hourly pay steps set forth below <br /> <br />Basic Hourlv Waqe Rates Effective 9/01106: <br /> <br />Classification Tit!e <br /> <br />Step A <br /> <br />Step B <br /> <br />Step C <br /> <br />Step 0 <br /> <br />Step E <br /> <br />Cold Case Investigator <br /> <br />$2554 <br /> <br />$26.81 <br /> <br />$28.16 <br /> <br />$29.57 <br /> <br />$31.06 <br /> <br />Section 3: That except as amended by this Resolution, all other provisions of <br />Resolution No 82-110, as amended, shall remain in full force and effect. <br /> <br />Resolution No. 2006-062 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
