NO. 04-095) <br />'(~~ <br />CITY ANAGER <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION <br />CLERK OF COUNCIL USE ONLY: <br />APPROVED <br />^ As Recommended <br />^ As Amended <br />^ Ordinance on 15~ Reading <br />^ Ordinance on 2"d Reading <br />^ Implementing Resolution <br />^ Set Public Hearing For_ <br />CONTINUED TO <br />FILE NUMBER <br />Renew the contract with Eisel Enterprises, Inc. for the purchase of <br />concrete water valve boxes and lids for a one-year period in an annual <br />amount not to exceed $11,000. <br />DISCUSSION <br />The Public Works Agency requires an assortment of concrete boxes and lids <br />that are used to house water valves in various locations throughout the <br />City. Concrete water valve boxes and lids are purchased through the <br />Central Stores warehouse for distribution to the Public Works Agency as <br />needed. The contract is designed to provide quality products at <br />significant savings based on quantity pricing. <br />On September 20, 2004, the City Council awarded a contract to Eisel <br />Enterprises, Inc. for a one-year period, with provision for three, one-year <br />renewals. The vendor has agreed to renew the contract; however, the vendor <br />has requested a three percent increase due to increased fuel and insurance <br />costs. The vendor has performed satisfactorily during the past contract <br />period; and staff recommends the second renewal of the contract. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />Funds are available in the Water Utility Water System Maintenance Operating <br />Materials & Supplies account (account no. 64-575-6391). <br />APPROVED AS TO FUNDS AND ACCOUNTS: <br />~~ ~~~~ <br />James G.
