In accordance with the federal legislation, a majority of the <br />Board members and the Board Chair must come from the private sector. The <br />remaining Board members would represent education, non-profit <br />organizations, one-stop mandated partners and local labor organizations. <br /> <br />Currently there are two mandated private sector vacancies on the Board <br />consisting of one economic development organization seat and one local <br />labor seat. After an extensive recruitment campaign and interview <br />process, the Marketing Committee is recommending Mr. Figueroa as a <br />private sector member representative filling the Economic Development <br />Board seat. <br /> <br />138-1 <br />
