<br />WIA Plan Modification for FY 06-07 <br />October 2, 2006 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />new fiscal year. The proposed plan modification incorporates new funds <br />for the fiscal year and establishes new participant service plans. WIA <br />regulations require a thirty-day public comment period for all plan <br />modifications to allow for input on the intended use of the resources for <br />fiscal year 2006-07. The proposed plan modification was mailed to all <br />WIB members and other interested parties on August 4, 2006, and a notice <br />was published in the Orange County Register announcing its availability <br />to the public for a thirty day comment period. On September 8, 2006, <br />Notification of the Public Hearing was published in the Orange County <br />Register. All comments received, including any recommendations made by <br />the City Council, will be included in the final document, which is due to <br />the State of California no later than October 2, 2006. <br /> <br />Once the plan modification is submitted by the City of Santa Ana and <br />approved by the State Board and the Governor, Santa Ana will be eligible <br />to receive $963, 562 in adult funds, $891,088 in dislocated worker funds, <br />$1,019,729 in Youth funds and $272,088 in Rapid Response funds. <br /> <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br /> <br />There is no fiscal impact associated with this action. <br /> <br />~~.)~ <br />Ste hen G. rding <br />Deputy City Manager <br />for Development Services <br /> <br />SGH/FJ/mlr <br /> <br />H:\ACTIONS\2006 CC\WIAPlanModFY06-07 lO-2-06.doc <br /> <br />190-2 <br />
