<br />A-2006-242 <br /> <br />1 <br />2 AGREEMENT TO TRANSFER FUNDS <br />3 FOR 2006 EDWARD BYRNE MEMORAL JUSTICE ASSISTANCE GRANT (JAG) PROGRAM <br />4 <br />5 THIS AGREEMENT is entered into this ;;; j;?tday of July 2006, which date is enumerated <br />6 for purposes of reference only, by and between the COUNTY OF ORANGE, a political subdivision of <br />7 the State of California, hereinafter referred to as "COUNTY", and ~ j IV Of S::u1~a-- ~ , a <br /> <br />8 municipal corporation, hereinafter referred to as "SUB GRANTEE. " <br /> <br />9 WHEREAS, COUNTY, acting through its Sheriff-Coroner Department, hereinafter referred to <br />1 0 as SHERIFF, in its capacity as the lead agency on behalf of twelve units of local government, including <br />11 SHERIFF and SUBGRANTEE, has applied for, received and accepted the Edward Byrne Memorial <br />12 Justice Assistance Grant from the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs, Bureau of <br />13 Justice Assistance (hereinafter referred to as "the grant"). <br />14 WHEREAS, the purpose of the grant is to supplement the resources available to the multi <br />15 agency Orange County Pro-Active Methamphetamine Laboratory Investigative Team (PROACT), and <br /> <br />16 to various programs designated to prevent and control crime within the County of Orange that are <br /> <br />17 operated by individual agencies included in the above-referenced twelve units of local government, as <br />18 set forth in Attachment A hereto (Program Narrative in the grant MOU), which is attached hereto and <br /> <br />19 incorporated herein by reference. <br /> <br />20 WHEREAS, the terms of the grant reqUIre that certain grant funds be transferred to <br />21 SUB GRANTEE to be used for the grant purposes, which may include local initiatives, technical <br /> <br />22 assistance, training, personnel, equipment, supplies, contractual support, and information systems for <br /> <br />23 law enforcement, as more particularly described in Attachment A hereto. <br /> <br />24 NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS MUTUALLY AGREED AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />25 <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />COUNTY shall transfer to SUBGRANTEE grant funds, in arrears, as necessary to <br /> <br />26 reimburse SUB GRANTEE for reasonable and permissible expenditures for the grant purposes.
