Program Specialist & <br />Transition Specialist <br /> <br />** Most OCCC corpsmembers are generally adults who support themselves and many <br />may be estranged from their parents for various reasons. Therefore, parent involvement <br />with the program is unusuaL Parents are invited to and will most often attend graduation <br />ceremonies and other OCCC events that honor corpsmember accomplishments. However <br />parent involvement with the program beyond attendance at these events is normally not <br />expected. The OCCC does plan several activities during the year to include <br />corpsmembers' parents, significant others, and their children to promote family <br />involvement <br /> <br />Facilities <br /> <br />From where will oro}!ram services be delivered? <br />Program services will be delivered in a variety of venues and locations: <br />o Paid work experience will be at various projects throughout the county depending <br />on the current work project assigned; <br />o All other program services (education, case management, transition services, <br />follow up, etc.) will generally be delivered at the OCCC main site in Anaheim. <br />However staff will visit field projects and make home visits as needed to deliver <br />case management services. Occupational skills training will occur both in the <br />classroom and in the field. Project visits and field trips will be planned to <br />facilitate incorporating work projects with classroom instruction. <br />o Street outreach and other recruitment activities will be delivered in Santa Ana. <br />While interviews will be held at the WORK Center as well as the Anaheim site. <br />o OCCC provides transportation using OCCC crew vans to OCCC work projects, <br />and provides pick up points in Santa Ana using crew vans to assist corpsmembers <br />in getting to the Anaheim site for work/school.
