FEDERAL LEGISLATIVE PROGRAM <br /> <br />Senior Management Assistant Jill Arthur introduced Bill Ferguson of The Ferguson Group, the <br />City's federal legislative advocate. He briefed the Council about his firm's activity on Santa <br />Ana's behalf regarding the Bristol Street widening project, retention of the Small Business <br />Administration office in Santa Ana, and private sector funding for the Artists Village. In response <br />to Councilmember Mills, Ferguson reported federal Community Development Block Grant <br />(CDBG) funding was being reduced thus decreasing Santa Ana's chances for securing additional <br />CDBG monies, and indicated his firm would carefully monitor any California legislation <br />proposing to include federal highway demonstration funds in determining county allocations of <br />transportation dollars. <br /> <br />6:37 P.M. - Mayor Pro Tern Richardson joined the meeting. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES 317 OCTOBER 21, 1996 <br /> <br /> <br />
