NO. 06-122) <br /> <br /> <br />()...Aa <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER <br /> <br />CONTINUED TO <br /> <br />FILE NUMBER <br /> <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION <br /> <br />Award a contract to Stryker Corporation for the purchase of ambulance cots <br />and stair chairs in an amount not to exceed $16,665. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION <br /> <br />The Fire Department's Emergency Medical Services Division uses paramedic <br />ambulances in the performance of its duties. To enhance the medical <br />readiness of the Santa Ana Fire Department, the Fire staff is outfitting <br />four ambulances with updated ergonomic ambulance cots and stair chairs. <br />The Stryker EZ-Pro R4 cots and Stair-Pro chairs are equipped with ergonomic <br />safety features and accessories. <br /> <br />The notice inviting bids was advertised on August 11 and 14, 2006, and bids <br />were solicited.
