Fairview Street in <br />the amount of $280,230. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION <br /> <br />The proposed improvements to the Fairview Street and MacArthur Boulevard <br />intersection include the addition of right-turn-only lanes for the <br />southbound and eastbound approaches. These improvements are needed to <br />improve traffic flow through the intersection which currently is not <br />operating at an acceptable level of service. Construction is estimated <br />to begin in March of 2007. <br /> <br />To accommodate the widening, acquisition of a 1,647 square-foot portion <br />of the property located at 3800 S. Fairview Street is needed (Exhibit 1). <br />A 1,469 square-foot temporary landscape easement and a 3,120 square-foot <br />temporary construction easement will also be required from the owner. The <br />purchase amount is the appraised value prepared by an appraiser licensed <br />in the State of California. <br /> <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br /> <br />In accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act, the proposed <br />project has been determined to be adequately evaluated in previously <br />prepared Negative Declaration No. 2002-440. <br /> <br />25J-1 <br />
