NO. 03-081) <br /> <br />'J41 <br />Uvr/ t?--=.. <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER <br /> <br />CONTINUED TO <br /> <br />FILE NUMBER <br /> <br />--- <br /> <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION <br /> <br />Renew the contract with Pacific Typewriter & Communications, Inc. for <br />maintenance service on typewriters and facsimile machines, including <br />supplies, for a one-year period in the annual amount not to exceed $25,000. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION <br /> <br />The City of Santa Ana utilizes typewriters and facsimile machines <br />throughout the organization to facilitate daily operations. A contract <br />agreement providing on-call and preventative maintenance is essential for <br />maximum efficiency. <br /> <br />On November 3, 2003, the City Council awarded a contract to Pacific <br />Typewriter & Communications, Inc., for a two-year period with provision for <br />three, one-year renewals. The vendor has performed satisfactorily during <br />the past contract period and has agreed to renew the contract without an <br />increase in pricing.
