Also address integrity) <br /> <br />The Lewis House is architecturally significant as an intact and representative example of the Spanish Colonial Revival style in the <br />1930s in Santa Ana. The first owner of the house was Wilford G. Lewis, who obtained a building permit in 1935 for a residence and <br />garage with an estimated value of $7,000. Lewis, a rancher with a farm just outside of Huntington Beach, lived in the house with his <br />wife Elizabeth from 1935 to 1939. The house was sold in 1939 to Annie C. Charlton, who remained at this address through the <br />1940s; city directories do not indicate an occupation for Mrs. Charlton. City directories and a chain of title provided by the current <br />(2006) owner indicate that the house had a number of different owners in subsequent decades. <br /> <br />(See Continuation Sheet 3 of 4.) <br /> <br />B11.
