McCracken <br />and Gina C. McCracken for the structure located at 2042 North Ross <br />Street. <br />HISTORIC RESOURCES COMMISSION ACTION <br />Recommended that the City Council direct the City Attorney to prepare and <br />authorize the City Manager and the Clerk of the Council to execute an <br />agreement with Andrew J. McCracken and Gina C. McCracken for the <br />structure located at 2042 North Ross Street at its November 2, 2006 <br />meeting by a vote of 6:0 (O'Callaghan abstained, Chinn and Seeley <br />absent) . <br />DISCUSSION <br />After the public hearing on November 2, 2006, the Historic Resources <br />Commission reviewed the proposed Historic Property Preservation Agreement <br />(Mills Act Contract) and concluded that the resulting potential property <br />tax savings would encourage the owner to reinvest the tax savings in the <br />maintenance of their historic property, and would benefit both the owner <br />and the community (Exhibit A) Additionally, the agreement prevents <br />inappropriate alterations. <br />25H-1 <br />
