The intent of the service is to protect property, <br />provide a safe and orderly environment within City buildings and adjacent <br />areas, as well as assist the public when conducting business with the City. <br />A Request for Proposals was advertised on September 18 and 20, 2006, and <br />proposals were solicited. A summary of the proposals requested and <br />received is as follows: <br />14 Request for Proposals mailed <br />1 Request for Proposal mailed to Santa Ana vendor <br />3 Proposals received <br />1 Proposal received from a Santa Ana vendor <br />Proposals were received, opened on October 3, 2006, and evaluated (Exhibit <br />1). The proposals were evaluated in five areas covering corporate history, <br />experience of the management handling the security guards, the <br />qualification of security guard selection, the clarity and details of the <br />submitted proposal and the pricing. The proposal from Securitas Security <br />Services USA, Inc. received the highest rating average of 92 percent and is <br />responsive to the specifications and meets the City's requirements. <br />25T-1 <br />
