City of Santa Ana Emergency Shelter Grant Scope of Work Name of Organization- Council of Orange County Society of st. Vincent de Paul Name of Funded Program- Cold/Wet Weather Shelter (Armory) Program Annual Accomplishment Goal I. Description of Work — In the space below, describe the program to be funded during the 12 -month contract period. The Cold/Wet Weather Emergency Shelter (Armory) Program provides chronically homeless men, women and children with critically needed emergency shelter during the coldest nights of the year, and access to additional services that promote stability and long-term self-sufficiency. Shelter clients are provided lodging; one hot meal, a continental breakfast, and a sack lunch; roundtrip transportation to and from the shelter from designated pick-up locations; showers; clothing; and information and referrals to comprehensive essential services that address the needs of the chronically homeless. The Program is housed at the Santa Ana Armory and has a paid staff of 14 and over 90 volunteers who provide 121 nights of continuous service from December 1 st through March 30th each year. IV. Activities funded by this grant — How will ESG funds be used for the funded program? Narratively describe the budget for the funded program illustrated in Exhibit B and B-1. The support provide by ESG funding is used solely to help pay the cost for renting the National Guard Armory, which serves as the site for the Cold/Wet Weather (Armory) Program.
