Other EMPG related organization activities <br /> <br />Equipment <br />EMPG funds may be used for specialized equipment acquisition from select equipment <br />categories listed in the FY05 AEL, which is available online through the RKB at <br />http://www.rkb.mipt.orq, For more information on allowable equipment categories, <br />please refer to Appendix A: Authorized Program Expenditures, The select allowable <br />equipment categories include the following: <br /> <br />. Geographic Information Systems (GIS) related equipment <br />. EOC equipment <br />. Other EMPG related activities, <br /> <br />Trainina <br />EMPG funds may be used for a range of emergency management-related training <br />activities to enhance the capabilities of state and local personnel, including the <br />following: <br /> <br />. Developing/enhancing systems to monitor training programs <br />. Conducting all-hazards emergency management training, including NIMS <br />. Attending EMI training or delivering EMI train-the-trainer courses in the states as <br />allowed previously under EMPG and not limited to terrorism-related courses <br />. Other EMPG related training activities <br /> <br />Exercises <br />EMPG funds may be used to design, develop, conduct, and evaluate emergency <br />management related exercises, Exercises must be consistent with the principles <br />outlined in the HSEEP, as well as applicable existing emergency management <br />standards. Activities include the following: <br /> <br />. Developing/enhancing systems to monitor exercise programs <br />. Conduct of all-hazards exercises, based on the likely hazards / scenarios a <br />jurisdiction may encounter <br />. Conducting emergency management exercises, while incorporating NIMS <br />.
