The items are <br />purchased through the Central Stores warehouse for distribution. The <br />contract for the supplies is designed to provide quality products at <br />significant savings based on quantity pricing. <br /> <br />The notice inviting bids was advertised on November 3 and 6, 2006, and bids <br />were solicited. A summary of the bid invitations and bids received is as <br />follows: <br /> <br />15 Invitations For Bid mailed <br />6 Invitations For Bid mailed to Santa Ana vendors <br />1 Bid received <br />1 Bid received from a Santa Ana vendor <br /> <br />Bids were received, opened on November 15, 2006, and evaluated.
