<br />Mineral Aggregate Resource Areas. Therefore, approval of the <br />proposed ordinance amendment and subsequent proj ect would not <br />result in adverse impacts to any significant mineral resource. <br /> <br />X. NOISE <br /> <br />A. Exposure of persons to or generation of noise levels in <br />excess of standards established in local general plan or <br />noise ordinance, or applicable standards of other agencies. <br />B. A substantial per.manent increase in ambient noise levels in <br />the project vicinity above levels existing without the <br />project. <br />C. Exposure of persons to or generation of excessive <br />groundborne vibration or groundborne noise levels. <br />D. A substantial temporary or periodic increase in ambient <br />noise levels in the project vicinity above levels existing <br />without project. <br />E. For a proj ect located wi thin an airport land use plan or <br />where such a plan has not been adopted, within two miles of <br />a public airport or public use airport, would the project <br />expose people residing or working in the proj ect area to <br />excessive noise levels? <br /> <br />Less than significant impact <br /> <br />The proposed amendment to the Municipal Code to establish a <br />Specific District for mixed use development at the project <br />location, as well as subsequent implementation would not result <br />in any long-term noise or ground borne vibration impacts, in <br />that the proposed ordinance would not involve any acti vi ties <br />that would emit long term operation noise impacts. The <br />project's implementation will cause short term construction <br />related noise impacts. This is a temporary and single-occurrence <br />due to development, and will be mitigated through the <br />requirement to meet the City's Noise ordinance and standards. <br /> <br />According to the Orange County Airport Environs Land Use Plan <br />portions of Santa Ana are impacted by aircraft noise. Approval <br />of the amendment to the Municipal Code would not facilitate <br />development within areas impacted with aircraft noise. <br /> <br />XI. POPULATION/HOUSING <br /> <br />A. Induce substantial population growth in an area, either <br />directly or indirectly through extension of roads or other <br />infrastructure. <br /> <br />7SAu.63 <br />
