A. Determine required relationship between conduit system and other pump station <br />equipment. <br />B. Extend existing conduits to new electrical equipment and controls as required to <br />produce complete and operable systems. <br />PART — PRODUCTS <br />2.1 BUILDING WIRE AND CABLE <br />A. Description: Single conductor THHN/THWN insulated wire. <br />B. Conductors: Stranded copper only, aluminum wire shall not be used. Solid wire <br />shall not be used. <br />C. Insulation Voltage Rating: 600 volts. <br />D. Insulation: ANSI /NFPA 70, Type THHN/THWN. Carol or equal. <br />E. CONTRACTOR shall furnish, install, connect and test all cable and wire required for <br />connection to all electrical equipment. All wire and cable shall be U.L. listed and <br />approved for the purpose. Cable and wire shall be stranded copper and shall have <br />600V insulation. <br />2.2 INSTRUMENTATION CABLE <br />A. Single Pair or Triplex Shielded Instrument Cable: <br />1. Tinned copper, stranded conductors, #18 AWG minimum, twisted with 100 <br />percent aluminum - polyester shield, stranded tinned #20 AWG copper drain wire <br />and overall chrome vinyl jacket. Rated for 300 volts minimum. <br />2. Manufacturer: Provide shielded cable of one of the following: <br />a. Okonite Company. <br />b. Belden Company. <br />C. Dekoron Wire and Cable Company. <br />d. Alpha Cable Company. <br />B. Multipair Shielded Instrument Cable: <br />1. Tinned copper, 7 strand XLPE insulated conductors, #18 AWG minimum, 600V, <br />twisted in pairs with aluminum -mylar shield over each pair, silicone rubber <br />fiberglass fire barrier tape, tinned copper drain wire, aluminum mylar overall <br />shield, Hypalon outer jacket. <br />2. Manufacturer: Provide shielded cable of one of the following: <br />a. Okonite Company. <br />b.
