SECTION 16130 — BOXES <br />PART 1 — GENERAL <br />1.1 SECTION INCLUDES <br />A. Pull and junction boxes. <br />1.2 RELATED SECTIONS <br />A. Section 16180 - Equipment Wiring Systems. <br />1.3 REFERENCES <br />A. ANSI /NEMA FB 1 - Fittings and Supports for Conduit and Cable Assemblies. <br />B. ANSI /NFPA 70 - National Electrical Code. <br />C. NEMA 250 - Enclosures for Electrical Equipment (1000 Volts Maximum). <br />1.4 PROJECT RECORD DOCUMENTS <br />A. Submit under provisions of General Provisions <br />B. Accurately record actual locations and mounting heights of pull and junction boxes. <br />1.5 REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS <br />A. Conform to requirements of ANSI /NFPA 70. <br />B. Furnish products listed and classified by Underwriters Laboratories, Inc. <br />1.6 PROJECT CONDITIONS <br />A. Electrical boxes are shown on Drawings in approximate quantities and locations <br />unless dimensioned. Furnish and install additional boxes as required to best suit <br />actual field conditions. <br />PART2 — PRODUCTS <br />2.1 DEVICE BOXES <br />A. Cast Boxes: NEMA FB 1, Type FD cast feralloy with threaded hubs and mounting <br />lugs. Provide gasketed cover by manufacturer. Crouse Hinds or approved equal. <br />2.2 PULL AND JUNCTION BOXES <br />A. Surface- Mounted Cast Metal Box: NEMA 250, Type 4; unflanged, surface - <br />mounted junction box.
