Reject the bids from West Coast Door, Inc. and Overhead Door Systems, <br />Inc. as nonresponsive. <br /> <br />2. Award a contract to Commercial Door of Orange County, Inc. for a fire <br />door in an amount not to exceed $20,000 <br /> <br />DISCUSSION <br /> <br />The City maintains fire alarm systems throughout all its facilities. <br />Recently, the City replaced and upgraded the City Hall fire detection <br />panel. Although not required, the Ross Annex building was identified for <br />installation of a fire notification system to alert employees and the <br />public of any fire emergency. The installation of a fire resistant door <br />will complete the project. In the event of a fire in either the City Hall <br />or Ross Annex, the door will close automatically, preventing the fire from <br />migrating between buildings.
