NO. 06-193) <br />O~~ <br />ITY MANAGER <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION <br />CLERK OF COUNCIL USE ONLY: <br />APPROVED <br />^ As Recommended <br />^ As Amended <br />^ Ordinance on 1s` Reading <br />^ Ordinance on Intl Reading <br />^ Implementing Resolution <br />^ Set Public Hearing For <br />CONTINUED TO <br />FILE NUMBER <br />Amend the contract with Valley Power Systems, Inc., to increase the <br />aggregate limit by $15,000 for vehicle Allison transmission and generator <br />maintenance and repairs, in an annual amount not to exceed $25,000. <br />The Fleet Maintenance Division of Finance and Management Services Agency is <br />responsible for basic maintenance of all City-owned vehicles, including <br />fire apparatus. Larger repairs, or those requiring specialized tools are <br />contracted out including service on Allison transmissions. Valley Power <br />Systems, Inc., is a local authorized Allison transmissions shop that offers <br />warranty repairs as well as maintenance and overhaul service on large <br />Allison engines. <br />In addition, the division Valley Detroit Diesel Allison was consolidated <br />under the name of Valley Power Systems in 2004. This action merged the <br />Allison transmission repair section with the division Building Maintenance <br />contracts to service generators at Fire Stations, City Hall, Corporate Yard <br />and the Police Department.
