CONSENT CALENDAR <br />20.B. APPROPRIATION ADJUSTMENT 1999-136 - INTERSECTION <br />IMPROVEMENTS - HARBOR AND MACARTHUR BOULEVARDS <br />Motion 1. Award in accordance with Request for Council Action. <br />INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS - HARBOR AND MACARTHUR <br />BOULEVARDS - To Sequel Contractors, Inc. in accordance with the <br />base bid plus add -on Alternate No. 2 in the estimated amount of <br />$638,730.00 with a total estimated construction cost of $777,800.00 - <br />Public Works Agency PROJ 1712 <br />Approve appropriation adjustment. (Requires five <br />affirmative votes) <br />Recognizing $329,530.00 in unanticipated Transportation Systems <br />Improvements Area revenue and $73,000.00 from Measure M <br />Competitive Streets and Roads Program and appropriate same for <br />Harbor Boulevard and MacArthur Boulevard intersection <br />improvements - Finance and Management Services <br />FILE PROJ <br />20.C. APPROPRIATION ADJUSTMENT 1999-140 - MODULAR <br />FURNITURE SYSTEMS FOR CITY HALL EXPANSION AND <br />RELATED FINANCING <br />In response to Councilmember Moreno's inquiry, City Manager David Ream explained <br />the proposed furniture purchase had been bid in compliance with the City's purchasing <br />regulations. He indicated the furniture had not been included as part of the <br />construction financing package since that financing was for 30 years and it was not <br />recommended that furniture be financed for such an extended period. <br />Project developer Roger Torriero confirmed that all project components had been <br />competitively bid and indicated he would provide a copy of the furniture bid summary <br />to the Council. <br />Motion: 1. Direct the City Attorney to prepare and authorize the <br />Mayor and Clerk of the Council to execute agreements. <br />MODULAR FURNITURE SYSTEMS, SEATING AND ANCILLARY <br />FURNITURE - CITY HALL EXPANSION PROJECT - With the <br />following in an aggregate amount not to exceed $1,400,000.00 - <br />Finance and Management Services <br />Fullmer Contract Furniture and Services AGMT 1999-025 <br />BKM Total Office of California, L.P.
