Reject the bid from Generator Services Co. Inc. as nonresponsive. <br /> <br />2. Award a contract to Associated Power, Inc., for trailer mounted <br />generators in an amount not to exceed $30,526. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION <br /> <br />Backup generators are located at the City's ten fire stations in order to <br />maintain essential operations during an emergency. The generators serving <br />fire stations nos. 4 and 8 are over 25 years old and no longer cost <br />effective to maintain. The contract will provide for replacement of the <br />existing generators with new trailer mounted units. <br /> <br />The notice inviting <br />bids were solicited. <br />as follows: <br /> <br />bids was advertised on December 11 and 13, 2006, and <br />A summary of the bid invitations and bids received is <br /> <br />6 Invitations For Bid mailed <br />5 Bids received <br /> <br />Bids were received and opened on January 8, 2007, and evaluated (Exhibit <br />1). The bid received from Generator Services Co. Inc. offered an alternate <br />to the model specified and is therefore nonresponsive.
