<br />PJC-01/25/07 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA AUTHORIZING THE CHIEF OF POLICE TO <br />EXECUTE A GRANT AWARD AGREEMENT WITH THE <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA, OFFICE OF EMERGENCY <br />SERVICES <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby finds, determines <br />and declares as follows: <br /> <br />A. The State of California, Office of Emergency Services has awarded the <br />Santa Ana Police Department and the County of Orange, District <br />Attorney's Office a 2006 Anti-Gang Initiative Program Grant in the amount <br />of one hundred and four thousand, eight hundred and fifty nine dollars <br />($104,859.00). <br /> <br />B. The City of Santa Ana Police Department will receive fifty two thousand, <br />four hundred and thirty dollars ($52,430.00) in grant funds for overtime <br />related expenses related to enforcement of the Santa Nita Gang Injunction <br />which will serve to positively impact the community by directly aiding in the <br />efforts to reduce gang activity. <br /> <br />Section 2. The Santa Ana City Council does hereby authorize the Chief of <br />Police to execute a grant award agreement with the State of California, Office of <br />Emergency Services in the amount of fifty two thousand, four hundred and thirty dollars <br />($52,430.00). <br /> <br />Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption by <br />the City Council, and the Clerk of the Council shall attest to and certify the vote adopting <br />this Resolution. <br /> <br />ADOPTED this <br /> <br />day of <br /> <br />,2007. <br /> <br />Miguel A.
