<br />Agreement for Mobile Ad-Hoc Network <br />February 5, 2007 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />On January 15, 2007, the City issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) to <br />provide a Mobile Ad-Hoc Network. RFPs were mailed to four vendors and <br />advertised in the Orange County Register on January 15th and 16th 2007. A <br />total of two proposals were received (Exhibi t 1). Each of the proposals <br />were reviewed by staff members of the Technology Support Bureau and <br />Homeland Security Division and were evaluated on the following criteria: <br />responsiveness to the RFP, demonstrated ability to provide comparable <br />services as requested in the RFP, level of service, maintenance plan, <br />financial stability and resources, and cost. The recommended vendor, <br />Global Mesh Technologies received the highest percentage in the scoring <br />process, offered the lowest price, and met or exceeded the evaluation <br />criteria. <br /> <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br /> <br />Funds are available in the FY 2005 UASI Grant Other Contractual Services <br />Account (account no. 125-333-6291-33301). <br /> <br />APPROVED AS TO FUNDS AND ACCOUNTS: <br /> <br />i~i~,~10\ <br /> <br />Paul M.
