Authorize the City Manager to accept a Fireman's Fund Heritage Grant in the amount of $10,000. 2. Approve an Appropriation Adjustment appropriating $10,000 of grant funds into the Fireman's Fund Grant revenue and expenditure accounts. DISCUSSION The Fireman's Fund Heritage Grant program is a program of the Fireman's Fund Insurance Company as a commitment to support firefighters. The focus of the grant program is to provide needed equipment, firefighter training and community education programs, and as of December 2006 over $10 million in grant funds has been awarded to fire departments throughout the United States. The Santa Ana Fire Department has been awarded a $10,000 grant from this program. These funds will be used to provide much needed audio visual equipment at our Training Facility, which will enhance the presentation of our department's training programs.
