CLASSROOM ACCOMMODATIONS - EL SALVADOR PARK <br />(AGMT 1999-175 for installation of one portable classroom building in El Salvador <br />Park was considered by Council on October 4, 1999 and continued by a 4/3 vote <br />with Franklin, McGuigan and Moreno dissenting.) <br />Recreation and Community Services Executive Director Cleve Williams reviewed <br />the alternatives contained in the staff report relating to the Santa Ana Unified <br />School District's request to place a portable classroom at El Salvador Park. <br />Parks and Recreation Board Member Glen Stroud expressed concern regarding <br />the potential loss of open parkland. <br />Larry Seroter from the Santa Ana Unified School District expressed concern that <br />the all-purpose room at El Salvador Recreation Center might not meet State - <br />mandated requirements for schools. <br />Motion: Direct the City Attorney to prepare and authorize the Mayor and <br />Clerk of the Council to execute an agreement with the Santa Ana <br />Unified School District to install one portable classroom <br />building on the west parking lot of El Salvador Park. <br />MOTION: Moreno <br />Motion died for lack of second. <br />Motion: Direct the City Attorney to prepare and authorize the Mayor and <br />Clerk of the Council to execute an agreement with the Santa Ana <br />Unified School District to allow the use of the multi -purpose <br />room at El Salvador Recreation Center for classroom purposes. <br />MOTION: Christy SECOND: Lutz <br />VOTE: AYES: Christy, Franklin, Lutz, McGuigan, Moreno, <br />Pulido <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Bist <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES 364 NOVEMBER 1, 1999 <br />
