REQUEST FOR <br />COUNCIL ACTION <br />CITY COUNCIL MEETING DATE: <br />CLERK OF COUNCIL USE ONLY: <br />FEBRUARY 20, 2007 <br />TITLE: <br />AGREEMENT FOR GEOFILE DATASET <br />MAINTENANCE <br />APPROVED <br />^ As Recommended <br />^ As Amended <br />^ Ordinance on 1 ~' Reading <br />^ Ordinance on 2nd Reading <br />^ Implementing Resolution <br />^ Set Public Hearing For <br />~~~~~~ <br />CITY MANAGER <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION <br />CONTINUED TO <br />FILE NUMBER <br />Direct the City Attorney to prepare and authorize the City Manager and <br />the Clerk of the Council to execute an agreement with GIS Data Resources, <br />Inc. for the updating, enhancing and maintenance of the Santa Ana Fire <br />Department geofile datasets, in an amount not to exceed $40,000. <br />DISCUSSION <br />GIS Data Resources, Inc. (GDR) has built a high-quality geofile which is <br />used in the Santa Ana Fire Department's computer aided dispatch (CAD) <br />system. This agreement ensures the Fire Department`s CAD system has the <br />most accurate information, and that our CAD system continues to run <br />seamlessly.
