<br />RESOLUTION NO. 2007-012 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCil OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA TO AMEND RESOLUTION NO. 82-110 TO <br />PROVIDE EQUITY ADJUSTMENTS TO SALARIES ASSIGNED <br />TO CERTAIN ENGINEERING CLASSIFICATIONS AND <br />TO THE CLASSIFICATION POLICE COMMUNICATIONS <br />MANAGER (RM). <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCil OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS <br />FOllOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The City Council hereby finds, determines, and declares as follows: <br /> <br />A. Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City of Santa Ana <br />requires the City Manager to prepare, install, and maintain a position <br />classification and pay plan subject to civil service rules and regulations <br />and the approval of the City Council. <br /> <br />B. On August 2, 1982, the City Council passed and adopted Resolution No. <br />82-110 revising and re-establishing the Basic Compensation Plan for <br />Officers and Employees of the City of Santa Ana. <br /> <br />C. It is the City's goal to ensure that salaries are internally equitable and <br />competitive with the labor market. <br /> <br />D. Based on a compensation study, the Executive Director of Planning and <br />Building Safety and the Executive Director of Public Works propose to <br />provide equity adjustments to professional classifications in Plan Check <br />Engineering and Public Works Engineering to ensure that the City attracts <br />qualified applicants and retains qualified incumbents in these positions. <br /> <br />E. Based on labor market data, the City of Santa Ana has reached an <br />agreement with the Santa Ana Police Management Association (PMA) to <br />provide an equity adjustment to the classification of Police <br />Communications Manager (RM). <br /> <br />F. It is now desired to amend Council Resolution No. 82-110 in order to <br />effect these adjustments. <br /> <br />Section 2: That Section 3 of Resolution No. 82-110, as amended, is hereby <br />further amended by: <br /> <br />Resolution No. 2007-012 <br />Page 1 of 3 <br />
