NO. 07-006) <br /> <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />CONTINUED TO <br /> <br />FILE NUMBER <br /> <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION <br /> <br />Award a contract to Clean Harbors Environmental Service, Inc., for <br />hazardous waste disposal services for a one-year period, with provision for <br />two, one-year renewals in an annual amount not to exceed $50,000. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION <br /> <br />During operations where materials such as paint, fuel and sol vents are <br />used, hazardous waste material is generated. The waste materials are <br />processed through Central Stores for pick up at the Corporate Yard. <br />Compliance with Environmental Protection Agency regulations requires that <br />an authorized hazardous waste disposal service transport the hazardous <br />materials to an authorized disposal, treatment, or storage facility within <br />90 days. <br /> <br />The notice inviting bids was advertised on January 10 and 12, 2007, and <br />bids were solicited.
