Sec. 2-450. Commission established; composition. <br />There is hereby created and established a youth commission for the City <br />of Santa Ana, having such powers as set forth in this division. The youth <br />commission shall consist of seven (7) regular members, seven (7) <br />alternate members, and seven (7) associate members, who shall be <br />subject to appointment and removal in accordance with section 901 of the <br />Charter of the City of Santa Ana. The alternate members shall serve on <br />the commission in the absence of any regular member. <br />Section 3. Section 2-451 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby amended <br />to read as follows (new language in bold, deleted language in strikeout for tracking <br />purposes only): <br />Sec. 2-451. Requirements of Membership. <br />Each member of the youth commission shall be a student enrolled and <br />attending school, as well as a resident of the City of Santa Ana. Regular members <br />shall be ages 16 to 20. Alternate members shall be ages 14 to 18.Associate <br />members shall be ages 11 to14. Should any member cease to reside within the <br />City of Santa Ana, cease to be a student enrolled and attending a school, or <br />exceed the age limit for their respective class of membership, his/her office shall <br />automatically be vacated. All prospective members under the age of 18 shall <br />provide written proof of parental or guardian permission to qualify for appointment. <br />Section 4. Section 2-325 Q) of the Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby <br />amended to read as follows (new language in bold, deleted language in strikeout for <br />tracking purposes only): <br />Sec. 2-325. Compensation for members of boards, commissions. <br />The members of the following boards and commissions of the city shall <br />receive the compensation as set forth herein: <br />(a) Community Redevelopment and Housing Commission, fifty <br />dollars ($50.00) per meeting, three (3) meetings maximum <br />per month, plus twenty dollars ($20.00) per month <br />automobile allowance. <br />(b) Personnel Board, fifty dollars ($50.00) per meeting. <br />(c) Planning Commission, fifty dollars ($50.00) per meeting, <br />three (3) meetings maximum per month, plus fifty dollars <br />($50.00) per month automobile allowance. <br />(d) Historic Resources Commission, fifty dollars ($50.00) per <br />meeting, two (2) meetings maximum per month. <br />Ordinance No. NS-XXX <br />Page 2 of 4 <br />11 A-2 <br />
