The benefit of this <br />flexibility to the City is the possibility for the provision of more open space on <br />a site without reducing the total square footage of development. The <br />following guiding principals apply to the floor area ratio definitions: <br /> <br />. Floor area ratio refer to the gross floor area of a building divided by the <br />gross lot area upon which it is located. <br /> <br />.
