Maria <br />Del Carman Pillado addressed the Council relative to a request to make <br />three installment payments for a permit in connection with a new palm <br />reading establishment <br />90.13. COUNCIL COMMENTS <br />Councilmember Moreno <br />• Announced that the Delhi Community Center received $1,000,000 in <br />funding from the Empowerment Zone Board <br />Councilmember Bist <br />• Congratulated Thom Coughran, Water Resources Manager on the <br />success of the Water Science Fair <br />• Announced that the dedication of the Peace Pole, donated by the <br />Rotary International, took place earlier in the afternoon <br />• Encouraged residents to complete their census forms <br />Councilmember Lutz <br />• Congratulated Councilwomen Christy on the success of the Youth <br />Exposition 2000 <br />• Announced that the open house for the Orange County High School <br />of the Arts drew a crowd of over 1000 people <br />Councilmember McGuigan <br />• Announced that Rip Ribble, Operations Manager, Parks, Recreation <br />and Community Services Agency, received an award as 'Professional <br />of the Year" from the California Parks and Recreation Commission <br />• Expressed concern about programming on Channel 3, particularly the <br />music videos shown, and asked staff to discuss the issue of <br />programming with the Cable Television Advisory Board <br />• Noted that she had received calls from residents complaining about <br />a curb painting company that appeared to represent the City of Santa <br />Ana because employees displayed a City logo and business ID which <br />gave the false impression that the company was affiliated with the <br />City.
