<br />CITY COUNCIL MEETING DATE: <br /> <br /> <br />REQUEST FOR <br />COUNCIL ACTION <br /> <br />CLERK OF COUNCIL USE ONLY: <br /> <br />APRIL 2, 2007 <br />TITLE: <br /> <br />APPROVED <br /> <br />D As Recommended <br />D As Amended <br />D Ordinance on 1st Reading <br />D Ordinance on 2nd Reading <br />D Implementing Resolution <br />D Set Public Hearing For <br /> <br />APPROPRIATION ADJUSTMENT <br />ACCEPTING SANTA ANA'S FOCUSED <br />ENFORCEMENT TEAM GRANT FUNDING <br /> <br />Q~t2. <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER <br /> <br />CONTINUED TO <br /> <br />FILE NUMBER <br /> <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION <br /> <br />Approve an Appropriation Adjustment recognizing the Office of Emergency Services <br />Grant funds in the amount of $95,701 and transferring the required matching funds <br />of $31,900 from the Police Department Crimes Against Persons Other Contractual <br />Services Account to appropriate a total amount of $127,601 into the FY 2007 Santa <br />Ana's Focused Enforcement Team Grant expenditure accounts. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION <br /> <br />At the City Council meeting of March 5, 2007, the Council adopted a resolution <br />authorizing the City Manager and the Chief of Police to execute a grant award <br />agreement with the Office of Emergency Services (OES) for the Santa Ana's Focused <br />Enforcement Team (SAFE-Team) proj ect. The Council further authorized the City <br />Manager and the Clerk of the Council to execute an agreement with Community <br />Services Program Inc., Family violence Victim Services, to operate a domestic <br />violence victim advocacy program. <br /> <br />This item also requires the approval of an appropriation adjustment recognizing <br />the Office of Emergency Services Grant funds. At the time of the Council vote on <br />March 5, 2007, only four Councilmembers were present. Pursuant to the City <br />Charter, any adjustment to the fiscal year budget appropriation requires the <br />approval of at least five members of the Council. <br /> <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br /> <br />Approval of the appropriation adjustment will increase the OES SAFE-Team Grant FY <br />2007 revenue account (account no. 155-01-5367-4) by $95,701, transfer $31,900 <br />from the Police Department Crimes Against Persons Other Contractual Services <br />Account (account no. 011-341-6291), and appropriate same into the OES SAFE-Team <br />Grant FY 2007 expenditure accounts (account no. 155-360-various). <br /> <br />" <br /> <br />APPROVED AS TO FUNDS AND ACCOUNTS: <br /> <br /> <br />'/ <br />I ~I <br /> <br />,frt:i PalX M.
