HEALY, Clerk of the Council <br />OPEN SESSION <br />The City Attorney advised the Council that the City has been served with a lawsuit on <br />April 28, 2000 entitled "M&A Gabaee v. City of Santa Ana and the City Council of the <br />City of Santa Ana", Case No. CV00-3453-JSL(ALWx). The Attorney further advised that <br />the matter was related to an item on the May 1, 2000 regular agenda, and if the Council <br />wished to discuss this issue, a finding should be made that the need to act arose <br />subsequent to the posting of the Agenda, pursuant to Government Code Section <br />54954.2(b)(2). A finding was not made by the Council, and the Council convened to <br />Closed Session at 5:53 P.M. <br />CLOSED SESSION CALENDAR <br />The Brown Act permits legislative bodies to discuss certain matters without members of the public <br />present, provided the items to be discussed are posted 72 hours prior to the meeting.
