WITH ALL COUNCILMEMBERS PRESENT COUNCIL RECESSED AT 7:42 P.M. AND RECONVENED AT 7:47 P.M. WITH ALL COUNClLMEMBERS PRESENT. Motion (McGuigan - Christy) to reconsider Consent Calendar to correct Minutes of the Adjourned Regular and Regular Council Meetings of March 19, 2001. (See Minutes Page 114.) COMMENTS 90.A. PUBLIC COMMENTS Brooke Stewart addressed Council relative to additional funding for library books; Alex Vega addressed the Council and thanked Councilmembers AIvarez and Solorio for coming to a meeting in his neighborhood; Annette Pfister and Lorraine Whalen raised concerns relative to the proposed Santa Ana Double Track project. 90.B. CITY COUNCIL COMMENTS Councilmember Alvarez · Stated that she supported and would like to join the resolution adopted on August 7, 2000 in support of the Santa Ana Unified School District's efforts to obtain 75 acres of Tustin Marine Corps Air Station for school development purposes Thanked staff, with special mention to Chief Walters and his staff for the tremendous work performed at the grand opening of the International Trade Center on March 22, 2001 Councilmember Christy · Congratulated Councilmember Solorio on the successful events honoring Cesar Chavez held on March 31,2001 · Announced that the new cable company, Adelphia, had changed all the cable channels without notification to customers, and asked Cleve Williams, Executive Director, Parks, Recreation, and Community Services Agency to investigate whether this was done in violation of the City's cable agreement CITY COUNCIL MINUTES 129 APRIL 2, 2001
