HEALY, Clerk of the Council <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER FRANKLIN <br /> <br />WORK STUDY SESSION <br /> <br />WS.A. <br /> <br />FISCAL YEAR 2001/2002 CITY BUDGET <br /> <br />Presentation by Fire Chief Martin; highlights of presentation are as <br />follows: <br />· Three major divisions within Fire Department; Fire Prevention, <br /> Emergency Operations, and Support Service <br />· Proposed budget totals $32.5 million <br />· Personnel costs account for 91% of the budget which includes 24 <br /> hour per day coverage <br />· Fixed level of staffing - 66 personnel on duty at all times <br />· Overtime is a fixed cost <br />· Personnel changes for 2001-02 include the deletion of one Senior <br /> Office Assistant and the addition of one Systems Technician <br />· Santa Ana Fire Department is one of few Fire Departments in <br /> Orange County that has its own Dispatch unit <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES 199 MAY 31, 2001 <br /> <br /> <br />
