FISCAL YEAR 2001/2002 CITY BUDGET <br />Presentation by Fire Chief Martin; highlights of presentation are as <br />follows: <br />Three major divisions within Fire Department; Fire Prevention, <br />Emergency Operations, and Support Service <br />• Proposed budget totals $32.5 million <br />Personnel costs account for 91 % of the budget which includes 24 <br />hour per day coverage <br />Fixed level of staffing — 66 personnel on duty at all times <br />• Overtime is a fixed cost <br />• Personnel changes for 2001-02 include the deletion of one Senior <br />Office Assistant and the addition of one Systems Technician <br />Santa Ana Fire Department is one of few Fire Departments in <br />Orange County that has its own Dispatch unit <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES 199 MAY 31, 2001 <br />
