<br />Agreement with Jones & Stokes <br />May 21, 2007 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />and Stokes is included in the City's list of qualified environmental <br />consultants and is not under contract with the applicant on any other <br />project. Jones and Stokes currently have a $65,000 contract with the <br />City for other environmental services. Staff recommends that the City <br />Council authorize an additional agreement with Jones and Stokes to <br />prepare the Mitigated Negative Declaration for the California Palms <br />transient/residential hotel project for a total amount of $20,000. <br /> <br />Environmental Impact <br /> <br />The awarding of a contract for preparation of an environmental impact <br />report is statutorily exempt from CEQA. <br /> <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br /> <br />The applicant for the project, Advanced Real Estate Services, Inc. will <br />deposit the full amount of the contract with the City of Santa Ana, in a <br />special account for the proposed project. The appropriation adjustment <br />will increase the anticipated revenue in the special revenue account for <br />the project (account no. 11-01-5452-117) by $20,000 and increase the <br />Planning and Building Agency allocation for contractual services by <br />$20,000 (account no. 11-505-6291) for payment to Jones & Stokes. <br /> <br />APPROVED AS TO FUNDS AND ACCOUNTS: <br /> <br />~.l <br />Jay .
