PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> <br />Motion: <br /> <br />Public Hearing: The following individuals spoke in support of the <br />amendment application: Richard Contreras, Richard Luna, Bruce Bernal, <br />Franklin Moss, James D. Lewin, Don Granger, Greg Yalch, Patricia <br />Scanlan (applicant), Eva Bernal, Patrick Scanlan (Applicant), and E.L. <br />Scanlan (applicant) <br /> <br />The following individuals spoke in opposition to the proposed amendment <br />application: Dave Lopez, Roy Alvarado, and Arthur Aguilera. <br /> <br />The applicant, Patricia Scanlan was given the opportunity to speak a <br />second time by the Chair in order to provide the Council with additional <br />information. Roy AIvarado also spoke a second time. <br /> <br />Additionally, the applicant presented a copy of a letter dated June 29, <br />2001 to the City Council relative to the requested application and also <br />submitted letters of support from 23 property owners in the immediate <br />vicinity, and petitions of support signed by 32 residents who are renters in <br />the area. <br /> <br />The public hearing was closed. Following the hearing, Council discussion <br />ensued.
