REQUEST FOR <br />COUNCIL ACTION <br />CITY COUNCIL MEETING DATE: <br />MAY 21, 2007 <br />TITLE: <br />AMENDMENT TO MASTER FUNDING <br />AGREEMENT WITH THE ORANGE COUNTY <br />TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY <br />CLERK OF COUNCIL USE ONLY: <br />APPROVED <br />^ As Recommended <br />^ As Amended <br />^ Ordinance on ts' Reading <br />^ Ordinance on 2"° Readirtg <br />^ Implementing Resolution <br />^ Set Public Hearing For <br />CONTINUED TO <br />FILE NUMBER <br />Direct the City Attorney to prepare and authorize the City Manager and <br />Clerk of the Council to execute Amendment No. 12 to the Master Funding <br />Agreement with the Orange County Transportation Authority for projects in <br />the Combined Transportation Funding Program and the Bicycle and <br />Pedestrian Facilities Program. <br />DISCUSSION <br />On June 5, 1995, the City Council approved a Master Funding Agreement <br />(MFA) with the Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA). The <br />primary purpose of this agreement was to streamline the funding <br />allocation process for projects funded through the Combined <br />Transportation Funding Program and the Bicycle and Pedestrian Facilities <br />Program. The MFA also specifies the roles and responsibilities of the <br />City and OCTA. Amendment No. 12 is required to incorporate minor <br />adjustments in funding and project schedules made during the semi-annual <br />review conducted in September 2006. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br />There is no environmental impact associated with this action. <br />25J-1 <br />`/ RECOMMENDED ACTION <br />
