Staff presented a site plan of the districts proposal to install a 6' high wrought <br />iron fence with 11 gates around the athletic field of Godinez High School. The <br />gates will be closed during school hours and locked in the open position <br />during non-school hours and on weekends to allow the public access to the <br />joint use portion of the school. The district presented the proposal to the <br />Centennial Park, Valley/Adams, Windsor Village and New Horizon <br />Neighborhood Associations and received mixed reactions from the residents. <br />The proposal will be presented to the Board of Recreation and Parks on <br />March 28, 2007 for their information. <br />4. PARK PROJECT AND GRANT UPDATE <br />Staff provided a list and status of the various park projects and grants <br />administered by the agency. <br />5. PUBLIC COMMENTS <br />• No Public Comments. <br />6. COMMITTEE MEMBER COMMENTS <br />• Provide data of areas lacking open space. <br />• Look into providing directional signage to Saddleback Park. <br />• Provide signage for the public at Main Library north entrance to "Please use <br />south entrance". <br />• Look into posting the agenda and minutes on line. <br />• Look into changing the time of the meetings to the evening. <br />7.
