Benchmark Technical Specialties <br />Applications & Development Services Cateaory <br />Programmer Analyst <br />Visual Basic.Net / C# /ASP /ASP.Net <br />Duties <br />Education/Certification <br />Work Experience /Skills /Knowledge /Abilities <br />Other <br />• Work as a member of a software project team on <br />client/server and Web applications using MS <br />technologies (VB, ASP, Visual Basic.Net, C #, <br />ASP.Net) and MS SQL Server /Oracle DBMS. <br />• Perform design, development, and production <br />support for suite of VB /SQL, ASP and .Net <br />applications <br />• Will code, integrate, and test programs within a pre- <br />defined standard methodology. <br />• Provide support and implement enhancements for <br />existing production systems <br />• Some RAD is possible. <br />BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or <br />equivalent experience as approved by the City. <br />• Minimum 4 years Application /Database Development <br />using Visual Basic, Visual Basic.Net, ASP, ASP.Net <br />• Minimum 4 years Microsoft SQL Development <br />• Minimum 2 years hands -on MS client/server and web <br />applications. <br />• 2 plus years Microsoft SQL Server Reporting <br />Services or Crystal Reports <br />• Knowledge of C# will be an added plus <br />• Work within agreed upon project timeframes and <br />methodologies <br />• Ability to effectively prioritize and multi -task <br />• Strong analytical, problem solving and issue <br />resolution skills <br />• Strong technical design skills <br />• Must have worked in a team environment and have <br />good interpersonal and communications skills. <br />• Minimum 15 Net WPM. <br />• Must have a valid Class C Driver's license. <br />• Manual dexterity to manipulate electronic devices, <br />computers and keyboards. <br />• Ability to read printed documentation and computer <br />screens. <br />• Ability to recognize and respond to alarm sounds and <br />equipment generated signals. <br />• May have to undergo background investigation by <br />Santa Ana Police Department. <br />
