& Networking Services <br />Micro Support Technician <br />Duties <br />Education /Certification <br />Work Experience /Skills/Knowledge /Abilities <br />Other <br />• Install and configure new and relocated <br />microcomputers, peripherals and software <br />applications. <br />• Analyze and troubleshoot hardware and software <br />problems. <br />• Install new releases, versions, drivers and patches to <br />software and firmware. <br />• Relocate PC's, printers, and peripherals. <br />• Provide end user support for simple applications <br />questions. <br />• Formal training classes in PC configuration and <br />troubleshooting preferred. <br />• A+ certification a plus. <br />• Minimum two years hands -on experience in <br />microcomputer related system installation and <br />support in Windows XP /2000 environments. <br />• Ability to install and configure MS Windows XP /2000 <br />and MS Office 2003 essential. <br />• Skills and experience in troubleshooting both PC <br />hardware and software needed. <br />• Must have a strong customer service attitude and <br />ability to communicate well with customers. <br />• Must have a valid Class C Driver's license. <br />• Manual dexterity to manipulate electronic devices, <br />computers and keyboards. <br />• Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 <br />pounds. <br />• Ability to read printed documentation and computer <br />screens. <br />• Ability to recognize and respond to alarm sounds and <br />equipment generated signals. <br />• May have to undergo background investigation by <br />Santa Ana Police Department. <br />
