I have been involved in the landscape. industry for <br />over 30 years. Merchants Building Maintenance is one of the largest building <br />maintenance companies in the western U.S., founded in 1968 and employing over <br />5000 people. We are two separate corporations. We do not share any facilities or <br />employees. However for efficiencies and economic benefit, we have one _ <br />administration office in Monterey Park that handles payroll, human resources, risk <br />control, and some accounting. <br />Merchants Landscape Services corporate headquarters is located in Santa Ana. <br />Merchants Landscape has rapidly grown into 5 full service branches. This growth <br />was accomplished without a marketing department or acquisitions. MLS's corporate <br />philosophy is based on service and client retention. Our Sun Valley branch service's <br />LA and Ventura counties, the Santa Ana branch Orange County, the Chula Vista <br />branch San Diego County, the Rancho Cucamonga branch and our Palm Springs <br />branch service's Riverside and San Bernardino counties. Merchants Landscape <br />Services Inc. annual sales exceed $10 million. Company wide Merchants Landscape <br />Services has over two -hundred fifty employees and maintains a fleet of over 150 <br />trucks and trailers, and we also have our own tree care division. <br />We have hundreds of accounts encompassing a wide range of maintenance clients. <br />These include national Hotels, Regional Shopping centers and commercial centers in <br />every county. Also included are large regional Hospitals, school districts, and County <br />contracts. Merchants Landscape Services is currently servicing the cities of Palm <br />Springs, Laguna Niguel, Seal Beach, Indio, Chula Vista, Orange and Pasadena. <br />Merchants Landscape Services is 1 of only 2 landscape maintenance companies in <br />Califomia that are self4risured for workers compensation insurance.
