Section 421 of the Charter requires the City Manager to
report to the City Council quarterly on the contracts entered into under
his authority for information purposes. The report is required to include
the names of contractors and the amounts of each contract.
Exhibit A is a listing of all purchase orders, agreements and change
notices entered into between April 1 and June 30, 2007 valued between the
amounts of $500 and $25,000. Unless included under a blanket contract, the
City as a general rule does not purchase goods and services valued under
$500 through either a purchase order or an agreement. Purchase orders,
change notices and service agreements valued at greater than $25,000
require approval by the City Council.
FISCAL IMPACT
There is no fiscal impact associated with this action.
Catherine Standiford
Assistant City Manager
City Manager's Office
19D-1
