GENERAL BACKGROUND AND SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> <br />1.1 Schedule of Pertinent Dates <br /> <br />The following are the key dates relating to this Request for Proposal: <br /> <br />Event <br /> Date <br />Release of RFP 23 March 07 <br />Proposer's Conference 02 April 07 <br />Closing Date for Inquiries 06 April 07 <br />Respond to all Questions 09 April 07 <br />Proposal Submission 13 April 07 <br />Submission to City Council May 07 <br />Selection Notification May 07 <br />Execution of Agreernents May - June 07 <br /> <br />1.2 Definitions <br /> <br />The following words as used in this RFP shall be understood to refer respectively to: <br /> <br />Word in RFP Definition <br />"Agreement" Used synonymously with Contract to designate legal contract between the <br /> City of Santa Ana and a selected Vendor for temporary technical contract <br /> service oersonnel andlor consultino services. <br />"Citv" The Citv of Santa Ana, California <br />"Contract Service An employeels of the Vendor who is assigned temporarily to the City to <br />Personnel" oerform desionated services for a Deriod of time (referred to as a CSP\ <br />"Contract" Used synonymously with Agreement to designate legal contract between <br /> the City of Santa Ana and a selected Vendor for ternporary technical <br /> contract service Dersonnel and/or consultino services. <br />"Department" The several deoartments and agencies therein <br />"Director" The executive directors of the several City departments and agencies or <br /> anv of their orooerlv authorized assistants <br />"Payrolling" The situation where a candidate temporary person is identified by the City <br /> and is not a resource or a recruit of the Vendor. The separate payrolling <br /> percentage markup is applied in lieu of the regular agreed upon <br /> oercentaoe markuo. <br />"Proposer" The person, firm or corporation who is responding to this Request For <br />Prooosal (RFP\ <br />"Vendor" The person, firm or corporation with whorn the contract is made by said <br /> City or the agent or legal representative who may be appointed to <br /> represent such person, firm or corporation in the signing and performance <br /> of said contract <br /> <br />March 2007 <br /> <br />10 <br />
