Ethernet) <br /> <br />Duties 0 Responsible for configuring, controlling, tuning, <br />monitoring and troubleshooting all elements of the <br />LANIWAN infrastructure including switches, routers, <br />firewalls, virtual private networking and leased <br />circuits. <br />o Utilizes software and hardware tools to identify <br />problems and factors affecting network performance. <br />o Provides recommendations on expanding networks <br />to meet new business needs. <br /> <br />Education/Certification 0 Formal training courses in networking, protocols, <br />device programming, etc. desirable. <br />o Vendor Certification by Cisco and/or Network <br />General highly desirable. <br /> <br />Work Experience/Skills/Knowledge/Abilities 0 Minimum 4 years hands-on network experience in a <br />multiple LAN and WAN environment. <br />o Experience with Cisco hardware and software in an <br />Ethernet environment using TCPIIP required. <br />o Experience with Network Generai and/or Fluke <br />protocol analysis tools desirable. <br /> <br />Other 0 Must have a valid Class C Driver's license. <br />o Manual dexterity to manipulate toois, test equipment, <br />electronic devices, computers and keyboards. <br />o Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 <br />pounds. <br />o Ability to read printed documentation and computer <br />screens. <br />o Ability to recognize and respond to alarm sounds and <br />equipment generated signals. <br />o May have to undergo background investigation by <br />Santa Ana Police Department. <br />
