During <br />construction, significant projects are identified with a sign containing <br />the motto: "a sign of things to come". In fiscal year 2007-2008, 35 capital <br />improvement projects are identified that will warrant the posting of the <br />sign to inform the public of improvements made by the City of Santa Ana. <br />The notice inviting bids was advertised on June 26, 2007, and bids were <br />solicited. A summary of the bid invitations and bids received is as <br />follows: <br />31 Invitations For Bid mailed <br />8 Invitations For Bid mailed to Santa Ana vendors <br />2 Bids received <br />Bids were received, opened on July 10, 2007 and evaluated. The bid <br />received from Maneri Sign Company, Inc. is responsive to the specifications <br />and meets the City's requirements. The annual amount is based upon past <br />usage and staff's projection for the next year.
